Sage Intacct

Sync Accountable activity to Sage Intacct with entity, department, location, and class coding.

The Sage Intacct integration posts expenses, payments, transfers, deposits, and bills to Sage Intacct, coded with the dimensions you use.

What syncs

Accountable activity Posts to Sage Intacct as
Card and bank expenses Expenses, with GL account, vendor, and dimensions
Bill payments Payments against bills
Bills from bill pay Bills, when Auto-Sync Invoices as Bills is on
Owner payouts Payments tied to a customer and invoice
Transfers and deposits Transfers and deposits

Accountable reads your GL accounts, vendors, customers, classes, departments, and locations from Sage Intacct for coding.

Connect Sage Intacct

  1. Click Accounting in the left navigation, or go to Settings > Integrations > Accounting.
  2. Click Get Started and choose Sage Intacct.
  3. Enter your Sage Intacct credentials and approve the connection.

A Sage Intacct review queue appears under Accounting.

Choose your subsidiary and dimensions

In Settings > Integrations > Accounting:

  1. Choose the Subsidiary (entity) that Accountable activity belongs to.
  2. Turn Classes, Departments, and Locations on for the dimensions your Sage Intacct setup requires.
  3. Save.

Then map each Accountable account and card to a GL account on the Accounts page.

Coding

Each expense can carry a GL account, Class, Department, Location, and Vendor. Set property defaults with Edit Accounting Fields on Properties, and add accounting rules for common merchants.

Common issues

  • Sync failed with a Sage Intacct error: Accountable shows Sage Intacct's own message on the transaction, so you can see exactly which field it rejected. A missing required dimension is the most common cause.
  • Wrong entity: check the Subsidiary setting before your first sync.
  • Period closed: see Fixing sync errors.

Tip: If Sage Intacct requires a location on every entry, turn on Locations so the field appears on every transaction during review.
