Linking a Breezeway task or work order
Connect a purchase to the job it was for so costs reach the right task or work order.
Link a purchase to its Breezeway task or PMS work order and the cost posts there when it syncs, so owners see what the money was for.
Supported links
| Integration | Field | Can create new from the link |
|---|---|---|
| Breezeway | Task | Yes, with Add new task |
| Streamline | Streamline Work Order | Yes, with Create a Work Order |
| Track | Track Work Order | No, choose an existing work order |
| Buildium | Buildium Work Order | Set on the transaction in the web app |
For Streamline, you can also log Labor Time in hours and minutes when your Streamline settings include an hourly rate.

Add the field to your receipt link so field staff choose it at the time of purchase:
- Go to Settings > Account > Transaction Links.
- Under Link Fields, click edit and add the task or work order field.
- Reorder the fields if you like, then save.
The cardholder picks a property first. For Breezeway, the link then shows open tasks for that property. They can search by task ID or by at least two characters of the name. If the task doesn't exist yet, they tap Add new task and enter a Task name.
Link from the web app
- Go to Transactions and open the transaction.
- Make sure the allocation is Property with a property selected.
- In the PMS section, choose the Task or Work Order.
- Click Save.
For split transactions on Track or Streamline, you can turn on Enable line item work orders (or Enable line item tasks) so each split links to its own work order.
What happens next
The linked task or work order is sent with the expense when you sync it from your PMS review queue. For Breezeway, the cost is posted to the task, with your default markup applied unless you override it. See Breezeway and Streamline.
Tip: In Settings > Integrations > Operations, use Allowed Departments in your Breezeway settings to show only the task departments your staff buy for, such as maintenance and housekeeping.
