Mark ready and sync

Move transactions from review to Ready, then sync them to your PMS or accounting system.

Syncing takes two steps: mark each transaction Ready once its coding is complete, then sync all ready transactions at once.

Sync statuses

Status Meaning
Not ready Still needs review or coding.
Ready Coding is complete. It will go out with the next sync.
Queued Waiting to be sent. Accounting details can't be changed during this time.
In progress Being sent now.
Succeeded Posted to the destination. Shown as Synced.
Skipped Intentionally left out. It won't sync.
Failed The destination rejected it. See Fixing sync errors.

Mark transactions ready

  1. Open a review queue under Accounting.
  2. Click a transaction to check its coding: property, category or account, vendor, class, and any PMS fields.
  3. Click Mark Ready in the Sync Status column or in the transaction's details.

Marking a transaction ready also saves any coding changes you made in it.

To move it back, open the status menu and choose Not Ready.

Skip a transaction

If a transaction shouldn't sync, for example a personal charge that was reimbursed or something you'll enter by hand, open the status menu and choose Skip. To bring it back, open it and click Unskip.

Sync

  1. In the review queue, click Sync.
  2. The Review & Sync dialog shows how many expenses, transfers, deposits, and payouts will be skipped or synced.
  3. Confirm.

You'll see Sync Started. Transactions move through Queued and In progress to Synced. You can keep working while the sync runs.

Doing less by hand

  • Automatically Mark Transactions Ready When All Required Fields Are Filled marks transactions ready as soon as they're fully coded.
  • Breezeway and OwnerRez expenses can sync on save when they're ready.
  • Accounting rules fill in coding as transactions arrive.

See Auto mark ready and auto sync.

Tip: Filter the queue by Sync Status = Not ready to see only what still needs attention.
