Adding receipts

All the ways receipts reach Accountable: text links, uploads, Ramp, and Amazon Business.

Every card expense needs a receipt. Accountable collects them from text links, uploads, Ramp, and Amazon Business.

The most common way: the cardholder taps the link in their text, takes a photo of the receipt, and saves. See Receipts by text.

Upload in the web app

  1. Go to Transactions and open the transaction.
  2. In the Attachment area, drag and drop a file or click to upload.
  3. Click Save.

PDF, PNG, and JPEG files are supported. A transaction can have more than one attachment. To view a receipt full size, click it. To remove one, use the delete icon and confirm.

From Ramp

If you connect Ramp, receipts move in both directions:

  • Pull receipts from Ramp: receipts captured in Ramp, including email forwarding and the Ramp mobile app, are attached to the matching Accountable transaction.
  • Push receipts & notes to Ramp: receipts and notes added in Accountable are uploaded to the matching Ramp transaction.

Turn these on in Settings > Integrations > External Cards > Ramp under Receipt sync.

From Amazon Business

Connect Amazon Business under Settings > Integrations > Receipt Capture to continuously generate receipts from Amazon Business purchases. Accountable matches each order to the card transaction and attaches an itemized receipt. See Amazon Business.

Receipts on bills

Bills in bill pay carry the invoice document you uploaded or emailed in. See Adding a bill.

Where receipts go next

When a transaction syncs, its receipts go with it where the destination supports attachments, such as Breezeway tasks, Streamline work orders, and OwnerRez expenses, so owners can see the backup for each charge.

Tip: Use the Attachment filter on Transactions and choose No attachment to see every transaction still missing a receipt.
