Bill pay overview

How bills move from inbox to approval to payment, and where they sync.

Bill pay lets you collect vendor invoices, route them for approval, and pay them by ACH or check from your Accountable account. Every paid bill can sync to your accounting system and, for Track accounts, to Track.

Bill pay lives on the Payments page. Recipients, the vendors and owners you pay, live under Payments > Recipients.

The life of a bill

  1. Add the bill. Upload an invoice, email it to your bill pay inbox, or generate it from work orders or a payout file.
  2. Review and code it. Confirm the vendor, amount, due date, and line items. Add accounting or PMS coding if needed.
  3. Approve it. If your approval policies require it, the right people approve.
  4. Schedule payment. Choose the payment date and method.
  5. Pay. Money leaves your Accountable account by ACH or check.
  6. Sync. The bill and its payment post to your accounting system.
