Accountable AI overview
What AI does in Accountable today, what is in beta, and the guardrails that keep your books accurate.
Accountable uses AI for the first pass on repetitive bookkeeping. Your accounting rules run first, AI fills in what they leave blank, and a person decides what syncs.
Live today
| Feature | What it does |
|---|---|
| AI vendor matching | Matches card merchants to the vendors in your accounting system. |
| AI bank feed cleanup | Matches pending and posted bank charges so each swipe is coded once, and matches bank cardholder names to your team. |
| AI inventory import | Cleans up item names and categories when you build your inventory catalog from past purchases. |
| Amazon receipt matching | Attaches itemized Amazon receipts to the right card charge. |
In beta
| Feature | What it does |
|---|---|
| AI coding suggestions | Suggests category, GL account and property with a confidence level. |
| AI property tagging | Suggests the property for charges, Amazon orders and invoice lines. |
| AI error detection | Flags missing receipts, out of policy charges, mismatched payments and likely duplicate bills. |
| AI search | Finds transactions, bills and work orders from a plain English question. |
Guardrails
- Rules win. Accounting rules and card defaults run before AI. AI only fills fields that are still empty.
- Nothing overwrites your edits. If someone on your team set a value, AI leaves it alone.
- Review before sync. AI results wait in your review queue like everything else. They only sync on their own if you turn on auto mark ready and auto sync.
- Your data stays yours. Vendor lists and coding history are kept to your account and are not used to make suggestions for other customers.
